I have been teaching math at a math academy for 17 years. Many children simply think vaguely, "I want to be good at math," but they solve problems without knowing specific methods or the depth of the subject. If they solve problems this way, math becomes difficult and boring as they move up in grades, causing them to distance themselves from the subject. As someone who places great importance on understanding the principles of mathematics, I would like to share how I teach. First, I conduct lively classes using the blackboard. Mathematics, with its many abstract concepts, often presents many parts that are difficult for children to understand. Therefore, explaining concepts or solving problems through the blackboard allows children to grasp concepts or problems quickly. Second, I conduct classes that maximize efficiency within a short amount of time. Because elementary school students are relatively younger than middle and high school students, they may struggle with their studies due to lower concentration levels and smaller workloads. This approach not only wastes time but can also diminish the enjoyment of math. To make boring math fun and help students excel, you must maximize learning efficiency with minimal time. Finally, I help students develop a clear system of mathematical logical thinking through solutions that adhere strictly to the curriculum. Rather than relying on memory to solve problems, I pursue a path of progress where students understand the principles applied to the problems. Once you understand the concepts through the class, you only need to review them three times! Even children who found math boring and difficult will be able to learn math enjoyably and quickly improve their skills with me.
