Do You Possess an Overwhelming Vocabulary? Except for grammar, passages are provided for every question in Korean. It is a subject that requires a complex combination of reading passages and reading answer choices. I have always wondered why vocabulary is memorized separately for English, but not for Korean, where reading comprehension is key. Studying Korean begins with a broad understanding of both literary and non-literary terms. 2. Korean consists of 4 areas! Is that really true? Korean consists of four areas: Grammar, Literature, Reading, and Speech and Writing. However, there is a catch here. Literature is subdivided into modern poetry, modern novels, modern didactic writing, classical poetry, classical novels, and classical didactic writing, while Reading is divided into humanities, social sciences, culture, science, and technology. It is a very tricky subject where the approach to solving problems differs for each sub-area. Yet, if you try to focus entirely on one area, the point values are low and the scope changes constantly, making it difficult for students to find solutions on their own. 3. The subject where consistent study is most difficult Korean is a subject where the study weight is inevitably lower compared to Math or English. Korean is the subject where cramming is the least effective. Studying for 30 minutes every day actually helps improve your skills. If you are constantly being pushed aside and falling behind by other subjects, barely managing to keep up, maintaining a mid-level grade is the best you can do.
