Hello. I am Shin Hwa-jin, a reading coaching educator and [Reading Dan Teacher]. I have 10 years of experience teaching reading intensive education and slow reading. In addition to this, I am active as a learning and aptitude coach based on cognitive thinking characteristics, an Enneagram temperament learning coach, a mom coach, and a senior reading therapy coach. The class we will be taking this time is a reading intensive class designed to cultivate the abilities necessary for reading: concentration, memory, comprehension, reading comprehension, literacy, and the ability to grasp the main points. Based on listening reinforcement training and eye training every hour, the class aims to help students establish the habit of reading accurately. Why is a reading intensive class necessary? Simply put, reading involves pre-reading, during-reading, and post-reading activities. Currently, it is known that the majority of students receive post-reading activity classes (in the form of writing book reviews after reading discussion classes). However, it is said that there are many children who do not finish reading the book or who cannot remember the content even after reading it. I often see situations where parents feel sorry for the children, but the children themselves also feel very frustrated. The intensive reading class is a pre- and mid-reading activity designed as a reading training program that enables children to read texts properly on their own and remember the key points. For our children who will live in an AI era where writing to express themselves logically and non-face-to-face life is becoming increasingly important, please start by establishing accurate reading habits that cultivate literacy.
