Hello. I am picture book author Song Hye-won. My dream was to become a cartoonist. I learned how to draw comics and even tried teaching them to young children. However, after encountering picture books and becoming captivated by their world, I became a picture book author. For 15 years, I have illustrated various picture books and published a book where I both wrote the text and illustrated. While working as a picture book author, I also taught children through comics, which allowed me to listen to the stories children tell through their drawings. I believe that children can discover who they are by creating stories with their pictures. Isn't it like children who can grasp who they are gaining a guide to navigate their own paths?
