I have built a solid foundation in mathematics, covering everything from the basics to advanced topics, while studying the mathematics curriculum at university. I was at the forefront of the college entrance exam process, and even now, I provide various forms of assistance to acquaintances regarding mathematics, such as tutoring and mentoring. I am also more aware than anyone of the current educational trend that focuses on understanding concepts and principles. As someone well-versed in the recent trends in mathematics education, I would like to share how I teach. First, I help children develop the ability to solve problems independently. Due to the nature of mathematics, a single principle can be used to solve a wide variety of problems. Therefore, I explain concepts in a way that is easy to understand, enabling children to solve problems on their own. Second, I teach how a single concept can be connected to other problems or concepts. In mathematics, it is more important to understand concepts in an interconnected way rather than understanding them individually. You can solve problems more easily by understanding concepts holistically and approaching them in an integrated manner. Lastly, rather than sticking to a single method of problem-solving, I teach various ways to solve problems. While there is always only one answer to a math problem, there are many paths leading to that answer. I will actively communicate with my child to explore diverse problem-solving methods, and help them find the method that suits them best and is easiest to understand.
