This is Teacher Yujin. I love children and find teaching rewarding, so I majored in Early Childhood Education. As a future kindergarten teacher, I am constantly thinking about and striving to find educational methods that can bring satisfaction to both children and their guardians. I would like to share how I teach, as someone who is deeply interested in children and educational methods. First, I teach using a "carrot-giving" style. Elementary school students, before they begin serious entrance exam preparation, will easily get exhausted and struggle if they are forced to study too hard. In such cases, I use a reward system to improve academic achievement and learning initiative. My goal is to ensure that students enjoy the lessons because they want to, rather than studying because someone is forcing them. Second, I lead the class by thinking together with the children. I believe that studying is not a passive process of simply having information instilled in them, but a journey of contemplating and finding answers on one's own. So, to help the child feel a sense of accomplishment, I ask them why they thought that way, guiding them to come up with the answer on their own. Finally, I remember the little details and provide detailed feedback. Children are truly happy when their teachers remember them well, so I will build a bond with the child by frequently mentioning their minor characteristics.
