Hello :) I am Teacher Jang Eun-jeong, also known as "Teacher Joy," a mother of four who has been teaching math to students for 15 years. For the five to six years prior to giving birth to my first child, I primarily taught math to high school students. Since then, while balancing work and childcare, I have been teaching math to preschoolers, elementary school students, and middle school students for nearly ten years. Although I have spent quite a long time meeting students and teaching, I have experienced a vast change in my mindset toward teaching and in my understanding of each individual child since becoming a "mother." Therefore, while teaching, I believe I have poured just as much seriousness and heart into listening to and alleviating the stress and worries about math experienced by the students I teach, as well as counseling mothers on their concerns regarding their children's math education. Even top-tier students who excel at math have their own thirst for knowledge and concerns, and students for whom math is always difficult harbor deep frustration and fear regarding the subject. Having spent time deeply empathizing with all of them, I have come to understand the students' hearts better and have been able to guide them in the right direction. As a 'mom' teacher who personally teaches my own children math, I will always guide the children who meet me with the utmost sincerity, so that their future in mathematics may become a 'deeper and joyful path.' I want to give the gift of 'the joy of being free in math' to all students, whether they lack confidence in math or simply want to excel at it. <The Joyful Math, Teacher Joy>
