English Tutoring (Grades 6–11) Hello! I am an English teacher specializing in teaching English in Songdo for students from 6th grade of elementary school to 1st grade of high school. [Teaching Method and Curriculum] 6th Grade English I teach a balanced approach covering the four areas of listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Homework consists of online assignments, workbooks, reading along with learned passages three times via QR codes, and vocabulary memorization. I conduct a vocabulary test before the start of class and then systematically teach the four skills. 7th Grade English Since the first semester is not a period for preparing for school exams, I focus on grammar, reading comprehension, and vocabulary learning. I conduct frequent tests to check understanding of the material and provide detailed explanations for any parts students do not understand until they fully grasp them. 8th & 9th Grade English I differentiate between the exam preparation period and the general period. During the exam preparation period, we build practical skills by solving various past exam questions, and for incorrect answers, I meticulously review everything from grammar to interpretation methods. I provide intensive instruction on key points from school handouts that will appear on internal exams, and conduct frequent tests before exams to ensure students can memorize the entire text. 1st Year High School English Classes focus on mock exams, school handouts, reading comprehension, and vocabulary. During the exam preparation period, I concentrate on the exams; during non-exam periods, I focus on reading skills and sentence interpretation practice. I have students interpret each sentence themselves, and for passages they find difficult, I provide thorough instruction covering grammar and interpretation methods. I reinforce vocabulary through word tests during every class. I guide students responsibly so that they build confidence in English, improve their grades, and develop long-term proficiency.
