Hello. I am Instructor Moon, who teaches mathematics through ‘concepts.’ I lead the entire middle and high school mathematics curriculum with concept-centered classes, rather than focusing on rote memorization or problem-solving. I majored in Mathematics and Physics in college and later majored in Mathematics Education in graduate school. With over 10 years of teaching experience in various educational settings, including private academies and public schools, I have guided students with diverse goals, such as overcoming math phobia, preparing for school exams, and getting ready for the CSAT and essay exams. In particular, I help students develop the power to think for themselves and grow through classes that explain concepts "until they can articulate them on their own" and encourage questioning. Through my classes, I aspire to be a teacher who fosters not just improved scores, but also ‘thinking skills’ and ‘confidence.’
