I intend to teach English using English. - Professor ISDRO, an English professor at a Philippine university whom I am close with, pointed out during his visit to Korea as an exchange professor that the problem with Korean English education was teaching English using Hangul and Korean. - When I was learning Thai in Thailand, my Thai teacher taught in Thai and forbade the use of English or Korean. - During my six-month intensive English training at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, Liz, a Korean-American teacher, made us use an English-English dictionary. She prohibited us from using a Korean-English dictionary. - Therefore, I intend to teach English using very simple English. I have worked extensively overseas. Through this, I have experienced firsthand why English is necessary. - 3 years in Saudi Arabia (handling overseas employment affairs), 8 years in Thailand (KOICA Director), 1 year in the Philippines (KOICA Director), 2 years in Rwanda (KOICA Volunteer Management Staff). - I plan to tell interesting stories and teach English that facilitates communication based on those stories. All courses are planned to be conducted in English. I earned my Master's degree from the Collaborative Program in International Education and Development Cooperation at Pusan National University Graduate School. All coursework, exams, and thesis were conducted in English. At that graduate school, former Ambassador to Canada, Park Dong-sun, taught a course titled "International Conflict." After taking his class for just one semester, all students became proficient in English conversation. I intend to make him my role model as an English instructor. Thank you.
