World in News for Young Minds
1. Double-teaching system
English native speaking teacher and Korean bilingual teacher are co-teaching, so it gives diverse perspectives for current events.
2. Current News and event borrowing from news segment or TV shows
A variety of materials based on current news and age-appropriate TV programs will be used in each class. Students will learn about what is happening in their community and around the world, analyze the meaning behind these events, and develop the skills to express their opinions on diverse issues.
3. Beyond Leaning
Students will broaden their interests beyond their local community and learn how to apply their understanding to act as responsible global citizens in today’s fast-paced world.
4. Enhancing Teamwork Skills
Through group discussions, students will learn how to communicate effectively, especially when encountering different opinions. These collaborative experiences provide opportunities to learn from one another and build a strong sense of teamwork.

안녕하세요 정명주입니다. (보통 MJ 라고 부릅니다) 한국에서 입시학원과 어학원을 운영했으며, 수학과 영어를 동시에 가르쳤습니다. 영어는 한국 캐나다 양국에서 20년이상 가르친 경력이 있습니다. 토론토에서 15년 넘게 거주하다가 한국에 2025 10월에 들어왔습니다. 캐나다인 남편, Zane 다양한 방법으로 영어를 가장 재미있고 편한 방법으로 접하도록 돕고 있습니다. 캐나다에서 CILISAT 이라는 통역사 시험을 대비하는 수업을 주로 가르쳤으나 각종 시험을 대비하는 반의 컨텐츠 개발과 수업을 진행해 오고 있습니다. 캐나다에서 가장 큰 어학원의 Campus manager로 일했었고, Career College Director, BICC high school teacher 등 다양한 경험이 있습니다. Zane 은 TESL 자격증 소유자로, 현재 Canada Fanshawe College 에서 대학 Writing 을 가르쳤습니다. 한국과 캐나다 양국에서 오래동안 다양한 시험 대비와, 대학 writing 을 20년 가량 가르치고 있습니다. 원어민과 오랜 외국 생활을 한 경험을 바탕으로, 다양한 뉴스, 읽기, 노래 등을 통해 재미있고 현지에서 사용하는 언어와, 말에서 전해지는 늬앙스까지 같이 나누려 합니다. 또한 말하기에 도움이 되는 문법 수업에도 저희만의 Know-How 가 있습니다. 국제 학교를 다니거나 유학을 생각하는 학생, 또는 영어로 말하고 자신을 표현하기를 바라는 학생들을 위한 다양한 정보와 함께 수학도 영어로 즐겁게 가르치려고 합니다. 앞으로 다양한 수업에서 즐겁게 함께 공부하기를 희망합니다.
