Hello. I am Yoo Jin-ah, a space trainer, Representative of the Nadawoon Organizing Research Institute, and co-author of *How to Raise a Child Who Organizes on Their Own*. I am also a mom of an elementary school student who has experienced trial and error regarding my child's space, time, and daily habits. I do not view organizing as merely a skill to make a house tidy. The experience of arranging items in their proper places creates order in daily life and leads to the power to manage time independently and to reflect on a complex mind. Therefore, I view organizing as a fundamental skill for life that establishes order in space, time, and mind. In my classes for parents, I cover not only specific methods for organizing spaces such as closets, kitchens, and children's rooms, but also lifestyle structures tailored to a child's perspective and sustainable habits. Instead of attributing the lack of organization to laziness or a lack of willpower, I guide you to identify the root cause within your family's daily routines and repetitive behaviors, encouraging you to start with small, realistic changes. In our classes for children, we help them build experience in managing their own belongings and time through activities they can practice in their daily lives, such as organizing bags, clothes, and school supplies. This repetition serves as a foundation for fostering a child's self-regulation, responsibility, and self-directedness. Just like space and time, the mind needs organization. Rather than analyzing or interpreting a child's mind, we examine the mental organization skills and resilience needed to recognize and express emotions in daily life, and to return to relationships and daily routines after conflict, from the perspective of organizing daily life. Organization is not a result completed by parents for the child, but a process that parents and children learn and maintain together.
