Choosing the right class for your child

What types of classes does Gguge offer?

Gguge is an online learning platform where teachers and students interact in real time.

Classes are held live online using the video conferencing platform Zoom.

Gguge offers several class formats to suit different learning goals and styles.

One-day classes

Explore a single topic in one class session.

A good choice for trying a new subject or getting to know a teacher.

Booking the same class more than once may cover the same material. Please check the curriculum.

Multi-session classes

Learn about one topic step by step over a set number of sessions.

Recommended for children who want to learn in more depth with the same teacher and classmates.

Children can learn and interact as a regular class group.

All sessions in a multi-session class are paid for together in one payment.

Subscription classes

Recurring-payment classes that follow a set curriculum each session.

You may be able to join partway through, rather than from the first session. Each session follows a fixed schedule, making this a good choice for regular learning at the same time.

Private classes

A class tailored to your child. You can arrange details such as the date and time, number of sessions, topic, and number of participants, including one-to-one lessons.

Fees vary by teacher and class. Please ask the teacher for details.

How are talent and academic classes different?

What are talent classes?

Classes that help children discover their interests and talents through experiences beyond the school curriculum.

Explore new interests through activities such as public speaking, chess, and creative projects.

Examples of talent classes

  • Math stories inspired by brilliant mathematicians
  • Empathetic speaking to build social skills
  • Chess academy: beginner and advanced classes

What are academic classes?

Classes that support achievement and skill development in school subjects.

Use them to supplement school learning or work toward a specific goal in subjects such as math, English, Korean, and science.

Examples of academic classes

  • Grade 5, semester 2: preparing for a perfect math unit-test score
  • Catching up with phonics in Year 1 of British primary school
  • Preparation for gifted science education programs

How can I find a class?

Use the search bar and filters at the top of Gguge to find a class.

  • Search by keyword for a class or teacher
  • Find classes suited to your child's age
  • Search for times your child can attend
  • Narrow results by curriculum or category

Setting filters to match your child makes it easier to find a suitable class.

Use class replays to review what your child has learned.

For classes that offer replays, you can find the recording after class here:

Important notes about replays

  • Replays are available only for classes that offer them. Check the class details page.
  • There is no replay for a class that did not take place, for example because the session was canceled or the teacher was absent.
  • If all students are absent, a recording may be provided but may not contain a lesson.
  • It may take approximately 4–24 hours after class for the recording to be uploaded.
  • Once uploaded, the replay is available for 7 days from the class end date.
  • Replay availability may change without notice.

How do subscription classes work?

Subscription classes are recurring-payment classes that your child attends on a regular schedule.

After you sign up, the next session automatically renews and is charged after each session ends. Your enrollment continues until you cancel the subscription.

Want to skip just one session?

Use the subscription pause feature to skip the next session without ending your subscription. This is available once every 60 days.

Check whether you can pause your subscription here:

[My Info > My Class > Subscription]

Before pausing, please note:

Pausing cancels the selected session and cannot be undone.

The following session is charged immediately after you pause. You cannot cancel the subscription before the paused session's scheduled end time.

Want to end your subscription?

Your subscription automatically renews for the next session unless you cancel it.

To end your subscription, cancel it before the next session is charged.

The next session renews and is charged immediately after each session ends. Check your current class schedule and next payment timing in advance if you plan to cancel.

Cancellation fees may apply to a session you have already paid for, depending on when you cancel.

Before you use Gguge

You cannot directly move a booked class to a different date or time.
