I am Soo-쌤 Koh Hyun-sook, an English education expert. Hello. After working as a kindergarten English teacher and running an English academy, I left for Canada at the age of 41 to learn better teaching methods. I majored in Early Childhood Education again and obtained the ECE qualification. I worked as a Lead Teacher in Canadian kindergartens and public schools, experiencing diverse cultures and educational environments. Based on that experience, I am researching English education that is essential for Korean children. Currently, I teach elementary English conversation, English grammar, English storybooks, and middle school English, while also connecting with children online. Soo-쌤’s classes are different. I do not teach English simply as a subject for exams. My goal is to cultivate the power to think in English, speak in English, and communicate with the world in English. I foster interest and confidence in English for elementary students, provide a foundation in grammar and conversation for students preparing for middle school, and help middle school students develop both academic performance and practical communication skills. Every child learns at a different pace and with a different learning style. I do not let my students fear making mistakes; I wait patiently for them to find the courage to speak on their own, and I praise even the smallest signs of growth without reservation. Therefore, in my classes, not only do their English skills improve, but their confidence in the belief that "I can do it" also grows. English is a tool for realizing dreams. English is not a subject for exams, but a language that connects us to the world. It is a force that helps us learn about our favorite fields, communicate with friends around the world, and unfold our dreams in a wider world. I stand with children so that they can encounter more possibilities through English and confidently move forward toward their dreams. Therefore, I prepare for every class not merely as a simple English lesson, but with the pride and sense of responsibility that it is about nurturing the future of South Korea. I will always be with you with all my heart, helping children speak English confidently, communicate with the world, and grow into individuals who achieve their dreams. I understand the hopes of the mothers cheering for their children from their side. After every class, I provide parents with detailed information regarding their child's participation, strengths, and areas for improvement.
