This class teaches methods for writing in English quickly and easily, based on Grammar in Use.

1. Goals We Aim For
The goal is to express your feelings or thoughts quickly and accurately without memorizing English.
This course is conducted under the following principles.
First, we convey semantic rules. Morphological rules are provided as appendices for self-study. We are not learning grammar; we are learning the language itself.
Second, we minimize rules. Listing and learning rules that are rarely used actually becomes an obstacle to speaking and writing. We only make learners aware that such rules exist for test purposes.
Third, learners naturally speak and write while learning rules. The process of learning rules is itself the process of speaking and writing.
Fourth, we learn joyfully. Listing rules in an enumerative way and memorizing them is not fun. You forget everything after a few days. In this course, as you learn more rules, you create your own sentences that gradually grow longer when speaking and writing, and you experience the joy of learning a language.
2. Basic Blocks
Grammar is sensory training. Once you develop a sense for the language, you can respond immediately in any situation without memorizing. Also, once you train your senses, you can feel the depth of English even for given sentences.
Many existing English grammar resources present numerous grammar rules that are not even actually used, explaining grammar for the sake of grammar. This wastes a lot of time and effort.
This class presents the following 4 basic blocks. Just as young children creatively express their thoughts and feelings with a few blocks, you too can creatively express your thoughts and feelings — not through memorization — by combining basic blocks.
[Basic Blocks => 1. Tenses, 2. Modal Verbs, 3. Verb Combinations, 4. Sentence Combinations]
This class focuses on developing the ability to construct sentences on your own using the basic blocks above, and has been structured to achieve maximum effect with minimum effort within limited time by excluding expressions that are rarely used.
Lastly, I hope you feel the joy of learning a language through this class.
3. Class Structure
(1) Tenses
If you understand tenses through pictures, you can learn them by feeling rather than memorizing. This learning method allows you to express yourself very quickly and accurately in real life and in English writing.
Example 1 - Difference between "is doing" and "has been doing"
Example 2 - Difference between "will" and "be going to"

(2) Modal Verbs
If you learn frequently used modal verbs combined with tenses, even complex English sentences become easy to understand and write.

(3) Verb Combinations
The structure of a sentence is determined by the verb. Therefore, it is important to learn the usage rules for each verb.
The end of a tense is a verb, and a verb is the beginning of a new verb combination. Also, the end of a verb combination can be the beginning of a new verb combination.
You will learn various sentence construction methods depending on the choice of verb.

When most people encounter a new verb, they look it up in the dictionary and study its pronunciation and meaning. However, this alone is not enough. Since sentence structure is determined by the verb, it is important to develop the habit of studying how each verb constructs sentences.

(4) Sentence Combinations
You can learn advanced English writing methods such as modifying nouns, sentence insertion, noun clauses, relationships between sentences, continuing thoughts, and sentence reduction.
In verb combinations, we covered the rules for using one subject and two or more verbs within a single sentence. Now we cover the rules for using two or more subjects and two or more verbs within a single sentence. This is about learning the rules for combining the sentences you have learned so far. These sentence combinations enable you to express and convey your thoughts and feelings appropriately for various situations.
These rules, beyond speaking and writing, also make it easy to analyze complex sentences by meaningful units. Therefore, they also improve reading comprehension ability to interpret long sentences in a short time.
Adjective clauses and noun clauses insert new sentences in the middle of a sentence. The new sentence modifies a noun within the sentence or takes the place of a noun.
Adjective clauses modify a noun within a sentence using a sentence. Nouns are used in many parts of a sentence — as subjects, objects, objects of prepositions, etc. — and adjective clauses modify nouns regardless of their position.
Noun clauses take the place of a noun within a sentence. Nouns are used in many parts of a sentence — as subjects, objects, objects of prepositions, etc. — and noun clauses take the place of nouns regardless of their position.
Adverb clauses make it possible to connect and continue thoughts. By using adverb clauses, you can naturally connect your thoughts when speaking and write sentences logically.
Adjective clauses, noun clauses, and adverb clauses are frequently used in reduced forms in everyday life and in many sentences. Therefore, it is important to learn and frequently use the reduced forms of adjective clauses, noun clauses, and adverb clauses.

Expected Benefits of the Class
I want to give you the joy of learning a language, not grammar.

When we speak, we just say things as we feel and as they come to mind. We do not think about grammar and speak accordingly. Even young children learn to speak by endlessly listening to and imitating what their mom, dad, and other people say, without knowing grammar.
For language acquisition, people tend to study conversation through memorization centered on some everyday English, but this has limitations in immediately expressing one's own thoughts beyond memorized expressions. Therefore, proper grammar should help you acquire a sense for the language and express your thoughts and feelings immediately and naturally without memorizing.
This class, as you learn rules according to speaking situations, gives you the joy of learning a language as you create your own sentences that gradually grow longer when speaking and writing, the more rules you learn.
I hope this class can be helpful for children who want to learn English enjoyably.
Thank you.
