"Proving the process with results!" At Kookeug, I teach middle and high school English from 7th grade to 12th grade, covering both school exams and the CSAT. I have truly taught a diverse range of students, from all over Korea to even those from the U.S. and Australia! I believe this diversity allows me to encompass every student! I wasn't a gifted student from the start. There was a time when, in December of my senior year at a provincial general high school, I was a Grade 9 student. After overcoming that struggle, I entered Sogang University and was accepted to Hankuk University of Foreign Studies. Therefore, I understand the helplessness of students who struggle with their studies, and I also know the process of raising grades well. Thanks to this experience, I have become a teacher who goes beyond simply explaining things; I identify where students get stuck and guide them back on the right track to improve. I provide customized instruction, starting step-by-step from the basics for lower-performing students and teaching practical thinking skills and problem-solving approaches for top-performing students. I have been teaching middle and high school English for over five years and specialize in teaching all subject areas from 7th grade to 12th grade. Representative examples of academic improvement include: 16-point improvement in the 1st semester of 2026 final exams 25-point improvement via the Kookeug Final Exam Promotion "Kyunggi High School: Improvement of over 10 points" via the Kookeug Final Exam Promotion "Produced a perfect score" via the Kookeug Midterm Exam Promotion "Achieved an A after a 12-point improvement via the Kookeug Midterm Exam Promotion" Rejected from all schools → Accepted to Hanyang University High school senior Grade 5 → Accepted to a university in Seoul High school senior Grade 5 → Grade 2 (6 months) High school freshman Grade 5 → Grade 1 High school senior Grade 7 → CSAT Grade 3 Middle school 3rd year: 42 points → 82 points Middle school 3rd year: 70s → High 80s And so on. The goal of my classes is singular: To teach exactly what is needed right now so that the student can get into the school of their choice. I never give up on a child easily. No matter where the student stands currently, I guide them responsibly, staying with them until the end to ensure results are achieved. I believe that grades are the result of direction, method, and consistency, rather than talent. I will transform English, which felt daunting when done alone, into a subject we can master together.
