제주 4·3사건의 시작
1947년 3.1절 기념식 제주도 대회.
"탕탕탕!"
제주도에서 무서운 총소리가 들렸어요.
기념식에 참가한 제주 주민들은 미군의 통치에 반발하면서 시위를 일으키게 돼요.
그런데 이때, 경찰의 말발굽에 어린아이가 다쳤어요.
흥분한 시민들은 돌을 던지며 항의했고 이에 경찰들은 시민들을 향해 총을 쏘았죠.
그 결과, 주민 6명이 희생되자 제주 시민은 총파업에 나서게 되었고 이를 막고자 한 당시 우리나라 정부는 무시무시한 토벌대를 보냈어요.
