This class consistently has a high error rate. It will likely be difficult for most parents to approach. However, you can see your child improving. The instructor provides extensive guidance on how to approach the problem; it is not a class that simply introduces solution methods. You can also hear a lot of feedback from the children. Furthermore, the class is fun. The children's faces are bright as they solve these difficult problems late at night. While I recommend all the classes, if you take this one long-term, it will be of great help as it covers the majority of problem types in critical thinking math.

To be honest, it is a very difficult class. Homework is assigned every week with about 5 to 7 questions... but my child only gets an average of 1 question right. It seems harder than their level, but when I watch them, they find it fun and excited to solve the problems, laughing and enjoying the class. From my perspective, it’s a bit hard to understand, but they say it’s fun anyway. Haha. It seems they learn a lot from the other students' solution methods and questions as well. I also can't leave out the advantage that, having taken this class for a long time, their accuracy rate for the top-tier high-level questions has improved somewhat.

My child mentioned that if the students solve a problem well during class, the teacher suddenly modifies the problem and changes the conditions. As soon as I heard this, I thought the teacher was truly well-prepared. I believe this is a rare occurrence in critical thinking classes, as the solutions are difficult. I can also hear the teacher smiling and telling the students to think carefully even when they claim their incorrect answers are correct. I also really appreciate the advice to interpret the problem in our own way. It is challenging, but it is a class where we learn so much. Thank you.
