I first came across your other class and liked it so much that I decided to sign up for this one as well. I feel like I should have taken this sooner. Although I have been trying to consistently practice bedtime reading since my child was young, I realized that my ability to guide their thoughts was far too lacking. It was a precious time where I realized that even with just a single storybook, we can share such deep and diverse thoughts. At the end, the tablet battery ran out and the session turned off, so I had to leave without saying goodbye. Thank you so much for answering all my questions until late at night! I find myself looking for your other classes as well. ^^

I had heard a lot about Havruta, but I didn't know exactly what it entailed or how the classes were conducted, so I decided to take the session. I learned how Havruta proceeds and what the core concepts are, and it seems to have served as an opportunity to broaden my narrow perspective. It encompassed everything I had vaguely thought would be good for educating my child, and it made me reflect on how I had been acting contrary to my own ideas. It seems to be a form of holistic education that covers how to think, how to feel and reflect, how to gain wisdom for life, and how to communicate with others—all of which will be relevant as a child grows and even into adulthood!

I was able to learn the broader meaning of literacy, moving beyond the simple notion of reading books. I will strive to ask questions that allow children to express their thoughts. Thank you so much for your passionate lecture.
