We had a snack box at home. On the box was a phrase that read, "Let's be picky eaters." My child saw the phrase and said, "Ah, it means we should be picky about snacks. It means we should only eat these snacks." Honestly, I hadn't given it much thought even after seeing it. But then, my child's comment struck me as so refreshing. When I asked how they came up with such an idea, they explained that it was possible because they meet every day with a teacher whose name starts with "Jeong" and ends with "Tan." My child scribbles things by themselves and even writes introductions for school to send to the teacher. Thank you for helping writing become easier for them.^^

A stubborn boy who wouldn't read a single book properly until the second grade has come to read two books a week after taking Teacher Jeongtan's class. The child, who used to only look for opportunities to secretly play video games, now considers reading a part of his daily life to be a given. I have been taking Teacher Jeongtan's Book Talk class since my child was a little second grader. I signed up for this class because, while literature is good, I also wanted to cultivate a foundation in the humanities, and it feels like my child is gradually grasping how the world works. Now that my child can hold their own in logical conversations with me, they feel proud, and I am satisfied because I listen to fewer stories about Pokémon that they have no interest in. Reading two books a week has become mandatory, so reading every day has become a natural habit. Sometimes, my child even shows an amazing side by reading two books in a single day, saying it is fun.
