Hello. I am Kwak Yoon-kyung, an Arts Convergence Kids Speech instructor. Leveraging my past experience as a corporate trainer, I currently teach children speech skills, focusing on how to articulate their thoughts clearly and coherently. The defining characteristic of my classes is my focus on teaching children how to express through speech what they feel while viewing masterpieces and listening to classical music. Children these days interact with smartphones and access information far too easily through YouTube. However, information acquired so easily is bound to be forgotten just as easily. Therefore, I aim to build a sense of shared understanding with our children through masterpieces and classical music, which are the beautiful legacies left by humanity. In every session, we experience various art works and classical music, and through a series of interconnected questions, we cultivate critical thinking and logical speaking skills. Through carefully selected masterpieces, children will experience the beauty of various eras and naturally remember the characteristics of the painters. As I conduct classes with the children, I realize that they don't just look at the pictures. While appreciating landscape paintings, they travel to valleys or mountains, and even fight against monsters. Therefore, if you become familiar with masterpieces and classical music, you will grow into a talented individual capable of generating and presenting creative ideas, rather than simply learning knowledge, in preparation for this uncertain future.
