It's time for the Children's Economics Newspaper class again today, without fail! Today, we learned about "Reverse Shrinkflation," a topic of the highest difficulty level. I was worried it might be too difficult, but thanks to the teacher who explained it simply to encourage active participation, we were able to learn the challenging material easily. Even if they can't fluently explain difficult economic terms right now, I believe they will shine in their respective subjects when they reach higher grades. We even did a thorough review with Mom this time! Thank you always.

Today's topic was the holiday "Seollal." Since we had discussed the solar and lunar calendars just a few days ago, my child's eyes lit up when the solar and lunar New Years came up. Plus, Ipchun (the onset of spring) passed recently. While reading the bolded text in the article about Groundhog Day in the U.S., we briefly discussed Korea's Ipchun and Gyeongchip (the awakening of insects). When I skimmed through the article below, I found that there was additional explanation regarding those topics! I really appreciate that you cover a variety of timely topics every week. I think the newly changed 30-minute class is great as well.

It looks like today's "Economics in Everyday Life" corner covered an article about "Pepero Day." On the way to school, my child excitedly told me about it, thinking, "Of course you wouldn't know." Since yesterday was Pepero Day, I think it resonated with them even more. Because it is so early in the morning, I tell them they can rest anytime if they find it hard to wake up early, but they say they absolutely cannot do that because the class is so much fun. Thanks to the exciting articles found around us and the teacher who is always cheerful and full of passion, I think we manage to attend without missing a single day, even while rubbing our eyes! I'll be waiting for next week with full excitement.
