“Not a Math Phobia, but a Guardian of Math!” Hello. I am Teacher Iruda, dedicated to helping children start their math journey by ‘understanding’ rather than ‘memorizing.’ “Why does my child find this concept difficult?” “They solve problems, but do they really understand it?” These are the questions I have received most frequently while teaching children and communicating with countless parents. I currently run an elementary and middle school math academy where I personally instruct students. I also share the direction of elementary math learning with 31,000 members on the Naver Cafe ‘Iruda Math Classroom’ and 100,000 followers on Instagram. Online, I have conducted over 400 live classes to date. My lessons have focused on the specific areas where children actually struggle, ranging from standard curriculum math to calculations, the use of math manipulatives, and learning methods for each subject area. Furthermore, based on the various misconceptions and learning concerns I observed in the classroom, I have personally planned and authored 26 math textbooks. Currently, I work as an elementary math explanation instructor for the Sukyung Publishing ‘Hyupyeokchungjeon’ series, delivering even seemingly complex concepts and problems in a way that is easy and accurate to understand, tailored to children's level. ✅ Teacher Iruda’s Classes Are Different First, I think about “why?” before the answer. Second, I believe there is a reason behind the mistakes children frequently make. Instead of simply correcting incorrect answers, I identify where the child misunderstood and correct it. Third, I explain things so that not only the child but also the parents can understand the flow of mathematics.
