Hello. I am Sean, a native American English speaker and the Academic Lead dedicated to National Geographic Learning at Paro Edu, a global specialized language education institution. I studied Linguistics and English Education at Ohio State University and earned a Bachelor's degree in Korean Language and Literature from Sogang University. I am also a bilingual education expert holding the internationally recognized CELTA certification and Level 6, the highest grade in the Korean Language Proficiency Test (KLPT). My core expertise lies in linguistically analyzing and guiding students on the root causes of the recurring errors Korean students make during English reading and writing, based on the differences in language structure and thought systems between Korean and English. We accurately diagnose errors in interpreting complex sentence structures, unnatural expressions influenced by the native language, and ambiguities in logical progression—issues observed particularly when tutoring top-tier and highest-performing students at international and foreign schools, as well as in major school districts in Seoul. Moving beyond simple grammar correction, we focus on enhancing the precision of thought and expression, leading to substantial learning growth through sophisticated feedback tailored to each student's language development level and error types.
