"I know planners are good, but why can't I use them consistently? Am I just weak-willed?" No. Absolutely not. Planner expert and author Hong Hyun-soo! I will tell you firmly: "You have no problem. It is just that you haven't learned the proper method." We have met many Korean, English, and Math teachers, but we have never seen a "planner teacher." It seems that utilizing a planner well would be of great help with everything from time management to learning and motivation to study, but when you actually try to use it, it is difficult to write consistently for more than three days. Eventually, you often find yourself looking at a planner that has ended up gathering dust in a corner. "There is no need for everyone to use a planner the same way, is there? Just as there are diverse people, shouldn't there be diverse ways to use a planner?" This was the beginning of my contemplation. The purpose of my lectures is to observe children through their planners and suggest customized methods to cultivate "self-directed habits." And this is not necessarily limited to just academics. This is because anyone can achieve greatness in anything as long as they cultivate self-directed habits. That is why I aim for a child who is "good at both academics and study" rather than just "good at studying." Recently, to observe children more systematically, I obtained certifications in MBTI and Enneagram testing. To further enhance my expertise, I entered the Graduate School of Korea National University of Education, obtained a master's degree, and am currently pursuing a doctoral degree. You must learn how to use a planner from someone who truly knows how to use one. It doesn't flow smoothly just because you write on a template marked with times. Planning ability improves gradually through numerous trials and errors, self-reflection, and constant contemplation on the causes of unachieved plans and how to improve them. Therefore, habit formation was the key. I realized that it is far more important whether you wrote it or not, rather than whether you wrote it well or beautifully. As a coach working alongside the child, I will guide you with passion and sincerity.
